Going Back to Haiti!!!!!

After a year and a half, I have decided to go back to Haiti for a dental mission trip.  Last time, I slept with rats and tarantulas, worked on patients in rocking chairs with no power, extracted over 600 teeth in the confines of a suana, filtered our own water, and sailed in an overturned boat in the middle of the ocean (still not sure how we survived that). This time, I will do the same, minus the boat ride. 

I am taking Kendra, my hygienist and Maggie, my assistant and if anyone else wants to join, just let me know and I will add you to the team.

We need to bring ALL supplies, as there are no dental clinics where we will be. We will be the FIRST dental team to visit the village of St. George. We will work from rocking chairs and without power. We will boil our instruments and burn our disposables.

Why? Because these people don't have an opportunity to see a dentist ever in their life.  Not because they don't have funds (which they don't) but because there are no dentists in these areas.  Some of the villagers have had pain for years and some have died feeling the pain of a tooth.  I will only be there for a week, but hope to help many and at least improve their quality of life.
