Adoption Fund : Bring Bertie Home

Donation protected
"Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,"
Ephesians 1:5

Jared and I have always had a heart for adoption and we knew it was something we desired for our family. In January 2014, God led us to the point where we knew it was time to take action on this journey. I was in Malawi, Africa with my church on a short term mission trip working with an orphan care center. Spending time with the children, learning their names, and kissing their cheeks made my heart swell and want to do whatever I could to make a better chance at life for these children. My eyes and heart were opened to the overwhelming need to follow what God commands His people to do for the fatherless. Upon my return home, Jared and I began praying for God to send us on a journey of love. He began revealing who He chose for us, by peeling back layers. Just as a rose blossoms from a bud into a full bloom. When our "rose" was fully blooming, it was our beautiful daughter, Bertie, who was standing in the center of it. I had met her at the orphan care center in January, but at the time I had no idea she was ours. We were completely in love. Our family immediately began the fight to bring her home. Jared and I both traveled to Malawi in May 2014 on another short term mission trip and we were able to love on and spend time with our daughter then. It was very difficult leaving her. There have been many bumps and valleys along the way, but God has remained faithful through the entire process. In August 2014, our family was surprised and excited to learn we were expecting a baby girl we named Blair. In November 2014, halfway through our pregnancy, God decided she was so special that He gave her a place in Heaven. She fell asleep surrounded by love and woke up in the arms of Jesus. So with that, came medical expenses and funeral costs that our family was not prepared for. God is still moving mountains, but we now find ourselves short in the funds we need and our family is hopeful to begin the last phase of our adoption process. We are ready to bring our rainbow home after the storm! We expect to be traveling to Malawi within the next few months (possibly weeks) to attend court and finalize all of the necessary paperwork for being granted the adoption and prepare for her travel to the US. We would be so very honored, humbled, and grateful if you would help us bring Bertie home. We need to prepare immediately to purchase tickets for airfare, there will be other travel and stay expenses, lawyer's fees will be due, an variable amount of filing fees for things such as a visa, a passport, and adoption papers,  embassy doctor expenses and so on. Any amount would be a huge blessing to our journey. Our prayer is that instead of seeing our faces when you read our story, you see the face of Jesus.

God Bless,
Calli and Jared Williams
