Kane's Journey with CDH. At 18 weeks the Crutchley family found out the amazing news that they would be welcoming a little BOY, their  joy could not be contained. At 26 weeks they were told the worst news they have ever had in their life. Their  sweet baby boy had a rare very severe life threatening genetic deformity known as a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. Kane's hernia is on his right side which allowed his liver to fill his chest cavity and subsequently causing him to only develop 30% of normal amount of lungs. Doctors give him at best a 17% chance of survival at birth. Due to complications associated with Kane's CDH Lacey was put on bed rest at 34 weeks. Due to the help of family, friends and great medical care they were able to make it to the goal date of a 39 week induction. Lacey is currently in the hospital with labor progressing. So many people have been asking how they can help so this account has been set up for donations to help with medical expenses and other expenses associated with Josh being off work.
