Natasha "Tasha" Raye Aposhian had a bright and bubbly personality starting as a small child. She cared deeply about her family and shared the spark of passion that her mother and father gave her. She was also a loyal friend, quick to deliver a kind word. Her sometimes shy demeanor could also mask her ability to say something to make you bust out laughing.

The other thing you’d notice almost immediately when you interacted with Natasha was how bright she was, another gift inherited from her parents. Her intelligence shined through as she graduated from Chandler High School as a high honors student in 2017. And she wasn’t just a book worm; she was a part of her high school community as a member of the cheer team. She was a young woman discovering herself and what she was going to do in this world.

After a year in college at the University of Arizona, Tasha made the brave and bold decision to join the United States Air Force in 2019. She was hoping to see the world while learning a new craft. She was a little scared heading into the unknown, but she approached that task like everything else in her life and graduated from basic training with honors and finished her tech school with the distinguished graduate award.

We were a family so proud, so full of excitement as we watched Tasha write the next chapter in her life. She was eager to serve her country and begin a career in the Air Force. However, on June 1, 2020 her hopes and dreams to make the world a better place were taken away by a fellow airman. Tasha was brutally murdered in a dormitory on Grand Forks Air Force Base.

Brian and Kelly have a long road ahead of them as they seek legal representation regarding justice for Tasha.  The military is telling them nothing about the investigation and refuse to release basic information such as the autopsy report.  Funds will be used to help with legal expenses and travel to media interviews to raise awareness, meet with advocacy agencies, speak with key state representatives and congressmen and congresswomen, as well as to potentially supplement income due to unpaid leave.  They will need as much help as possible with legal fees.

Thank you and God bless,
Sara and Dustin
