#JusticeForKenny Protest

Last Friday night, my good friend, Ken, was murdered outside of Richards Bar in West Town. The suspect was, according to several witnesses, verbally accosting Ken with homophobic slurs inside the bar before being thrown out for physically assaulting Ken. A few minutes after the suspect was kicked out of the bar, Ken walked outside to smoke a cigarette. The suspect proceeded to confront Ken which led to another physical altercation, this time with a weapon in hand. After stabbing my friend multiple times, the suspect was taken into custody on scene and discovered with the weapon he used to stab Ken. However, the suspect was released in the middle of the night Sunday with 0 charges and no name released to the public.

The past few days have been extremely difficult for Ken's family and friends. This was a hate crime and the suspect gets to walk away with 0 consequences. Kens family had to find out the suspect was released from the media. We have limited options at this point. Now we are coming together to peacefully protest outside of Richards Bar this Tuesday,March 3 at 6 PM.
