Freya is a beautiful young lady who has not yet had the privilege of meeting her father. It is unfortunate that in today's world a child would be deprived a father in their lives because one parent simply refuses to release control.
Steve found out he was Freya's father approximately 3 years ago. Freya's siblings' father is a friend of Steve's and contact was initiated through these means because Freya wanted to know her father. A DNA test was done, through the courts, and paternity was established. Steve pays child support but has still been denied access to his daughter and her to him.

Complicating matters further, Freya lives in Tennessee and Steve lives in Indiana. The way our court systems work today, the government entity will pursue a father for paternity and child support on behalf of the mother, but a father who cannot afford an attorney is left with no recourse when it comes to establishing a relationship with his child. This is truly a shame since it is a long known and well established fact that children fare way better in life in almost every aspect when they have a relationship with their Dad.

Currently, it is believed, that Freya is living in a neglectful situation with her mother. There have been numerous Child Protection Services cases opened against her mother and some of them have been founded. Her mother, however, refuses contact between Steve and Freya as well as discussing any future relationship between the two. In the meantime, Freya gets older, and more time is lost. Precious time that can never be returned.
Steve is a Correctional Officer in Indiana for the county government, a husband to Marissa, and a loving father to seven other children he shares with his wife. As you may expect, finances are tight with a family of 9 to support, 10 if you count Freya and the financial support he provides for her.

Freya deserves justice. She deserves every opportunity in life and having her father to guide her through that will ensure it is provided. She is not property, she is not a pawn. She is a human being and is being denied her basic human right to have her father in her life because of a lack of money. This is a travesty.

This page is to raise money for travel expenses, attorney fees and court fees for Steve to fight for Freya. This is about advocating for her and her heritage. No child should grow up without a father. Especially when there is a loving, caring, and willing one waiting for her to be allowed to have him.
