Justice for my son Micheal who was murdered

On the evening of July 22nd 2018 my son, Michael Peers, was brutally murdered in his own home. We, and the police know who was involved. Eight people were immediately arrested but as they blamed each other or refused to talk, none could be charged. The Crown Prosecution Service deemed that with so many involved and unwilling to talk, the police were unable to present sufficient evidence to secure a successful prosecution.
The inquest into Michael’s death begins in September 2019. We’ve discovered that we cant get legal aid so we will have to pay for legal representation throughout the inquest. A London lawyer has offered to act for us with a capped price of £3600 so we are trying to raise £3000 as we have £2000. From a previous fundraiser What’s left will go toward travel costs throughout the inquest. Our preliminary hearing is on September 13th, with the full inquest on December 4th/5th/6th.
I cant begin to tell you what this horror has done to our family. Michael was in the army and came out suffering PTSD. He leaves behind 3 loving children, a grandson he sadly never got the chance to meet, and a heartbroken mother who cannot sit back and let them grow up thinking there was more that could have been done in this fight for justice.
Michael was my son. He was a huge lovely character and was loved by everyone who met him. He lit up any room when he walked in, but that light can never shine again.
After 1 year we are still living in a nightmare and unable to grieve. With the constant hurdles placed in front of us I am now turning to the community for help. I and my broken family are struggling. We cannot meet these legal costs. Any donations, towards our fight for justice for Michael would be greatly appreciated. x
