This is a plea to help a loving mother
who has been the sole caretaker of her two children who are 14 & 17. They collectively continue to fight the stronghold of their abuser who has turned to abusing the legal system to control them. She must file for an appeal to a tragic court decision made last Friday to which she could not afford representation and ultimately lost custody of her children.
Anyone who knows Lisa knows she is an amazing mother who has not only raised and loved her children unconditionally, but has always done right by them. But she can’t represent herself and the abuse she has gone through for over ten years post-divorce has been unbearable and she no longer can pay an attorney to represent her. That is why we are asking you consider helping her retain legal representation. The inner workings of the legal system are deep. Lisa needs a lawyer who will stand up against the kind of judge that bullied her on Friday. Lisa had evidence to present last of abuse, she had therapist to testify for the children, she had school records, medical records, and ten years of lost-divorce court records and NOT one shred of it was admissible based on the legal process not being followed. Instead she was called a “liar” and was repeatedly told she didn’t follow the process so the Jude wound not consider anything she brought. She needs an attorney. The verbal assault the judge bestowed on her was equivalent to the he abuse she’s endured by her abuser. She’s shattered and broken. This entire situation is beyond belief.
She’s currently waiting on Legal Aid, and researching many options for assistance. This Go-Fund-Me drive is to help ensure that when her appeal date comes she can afford an attorney to help her get her children back. Justice for her children who are quickly learning they don’t have a voice as no one will hear their pleas to stay with their loving and caring mom who has always taken good care and has provided for them. Lisa is committed to not give up. She and her children will be heard, will rise above the abuse and continue to fight for their lives and against injustice. Will you help them?
