On August 21, 2012 my son Burrell Anthony Ramsey (26) was shot and killed by Boston Police. We demand justice.
Eight years later and I am still fighting for justice for my son, who was killed in a so-called “routine traffic stop.” The police investigated the police, and cleared the officers in the civil trial, despite the evidence provided. Certain evidence related to the officers was ignored and left out so it wouldn't influence the jury, but all the prejudicial evidence about my son was entered as evidence. One of the expert witnesses for the Police, paid for with our tax dollars, took the stand to continue the cover up, playing on words and finding excuses as to why my son’s fingerprints were not on the gun. He gave reasons for the missing residue of a fire gun that was not on my son's hands. The Boston Police’s medical expert witness refuted the police officers claims and then was treated as a hostile witness (she wasn't lying for the police) and they didn't like it.
My son’s life matters. Please help me reopen my son's case and get the justice we deserve.
One day's transcripts cost $3,000 and we had a 6 day trial. Hiring an attorney and filing fees are among other costs that I am facing in order to continue my fight. Please help me hold these bad officers accountable and get Justice for my son, Burrell Anthony Ramsey.
