‘Just Try’ Children’s Book

How amazing can this world be if we all, Just Try! My name is Nekaybaw McNeal and I am raising funds to help with publishing my first children’s book.
‘Just Try’ was inspired by two children in my life, Soleil and Shiloh. I was looking for television shows that represented darker skinned children and sadly, there was a great lack of content that they could watch and enjoy!
I decided that I wanted to be apart of the solution....
‘Just Try’ children’s book is very important to me! My intent is to show more melanated boys and girls in a positive light. I want people to see us in action, facing everyday obstacles and challenges in a productive way.
I believe our children will benefit from seeing characters that look like them, learn to embrace who they are naturally and overcome everyday challenges through the practice of just trying!
I learned that if you want quality work you must invest in it!
I am looking to raise $10,000 to help pay for an excellent illustrator who can capture the essence and feeling of the story!The funds from these donations will also be used for publishing and printing.

Donations that are $50.00 and more will receive, a copy of ‘Just Try’ children’s book, personally signed by me.
Donations of $300.00 and more will receive a copy of ‘Just Try’ children’s book personally signed by me, a hand crafted designed mug by ‘Sincerely You’ and a special thank you letter written by me.
Donations of $1000 and more will receive a copy of Just Try Children’s book personally signed by me, a hand crafted designed mug by ‘sincerely you’ and a special thank you letter written by me; you will be listed in the acknowledgements and will receive a Master Giver certificate sent to you.
I believe this is a simple but yet powerful book that will help awaken the greatness in our youth today! Any donation counts and I am very grateful for those who have the heart to give.

Meet Susie! Like any other 5 year old, she oftentimes struggle with completing tasks on her own. The world can be a big and oftentimes confusing place! Will Susie overcome these obstacles? Read along and have your children recite the affirmations inside. There are limitless possibilities when you “Just Try!”
