Help a few broke college kids afford Juniper's vet treatments lol
My friends and I found a young cat on Wednesday, 7/2, still with a paper shelter collar on her neck. We easily picked her up and took her in, and despite her having a microchip, we have not heard back from her owners.
We can't have pets in our current living arrangement, but a coworker has offered to foster her while we rehome her or until we move at the end of the summer, as long as she won't endanger their current pets at home!
I will be testing her for FeLV/FIV, as well as vaccinate her for whatever she may not have received at the shelter. I will also deworm her if needed! Bonus points if I can get her professionally groomed as she has some matted fur.
She is a total love-bug and deserves the absolute world. I'm working on getting her weight back to normal and soon it'll be bath time. I have already paid for the necessities (food, litter, etc.) but will need to continue buying her food while we still have her at our place! The check-up plus the tests and vaccines at our local veterinary E.R. will cost approx. $80-125 (or more if she's unwell), and food and supplies have already cost $30.
I will do anything to not hand her back over to a shelter and we'd love to keep her or give her a loving home with someone we trust.
Our hypothesis is that she was adopted to be a barn cat (we have lots of ranch properties in the area) but didn't stay on her property. I will be posting updates on my Instagram and possibly TikTok (@quin.ventures), as well as here with her progress.
