JR Sleep Study Process for Surgery

2 Months ago My son began to have difficulties while sleeping, he would start to grasp for air while sleeping and wake up coughing till he would begin to throw up. After two hospital visits and two specialist and seeing the ENT team at Texas Children’s  I was informed that he would need his tonsils removed because they are enlarged. while my son sleeps these relax and block his breathing airways, not only that but because of this he has accumulated liquid inside and behind his ear drum. Due to all of this  he can’t pronounce many words as we can and or hear them as we pronounce them. In school he is enrolled in speech therapy  classes but we know that we won’t see any improvement till we can get this study done so that surgery can get scheduled.  Now I was recently informed by our insurance company that the sleep study that my son needs wont be covered just days before his scheduled appointment on the 3th of Oct. (which we waited a long time for). So the procedure will consist of getting his tonsils removed as well as some small tubes put inside his ears for drainage of liquid in his ears.He chokes worse and worse each day at nights while sleeping because of his enlarged tonsils.....he Is missing on a lot of sleep and falls asleep in class . My son can’t sleep well at nights due to the fact that while choking he has to constantly wake up from his sleep.  It is so heartbreaking to see my son Go through this, We received the call two days ago and were informed the Out of pocket cost for this procedure will be 5,000 and I just want to see my boy be okay again ...Any donations will help in a big way .
