Jump Start Arrow Creative Reuse!

Hi, Karlei “Re” Baker-Dietz here, founder of Arrow Creative Reuse. Arrow is on track to become a 501(c)3 nonprofit, aiming to provide the community with low cost art and craft materials and art-related workshops! Think art supply “thrift store” but go a little beyond that, as far as the imagination can carry. Our mission statement: To collect and redistribute unused art and craft materials, diverting them from the landfill into the hands of artists/makers at an affordable cost AND to educate through creative reuse of donated materials by hosting a variety of community workshops. Arrow would be the first “creative reuse station” in the 417 area, joining the ranks of others across the country, such as ScrapsKC in Kansas City, Mo. Although we will be starting small, we hope to grow with the help of our community and become a major environmentally friendly resource for artists, crafters, hobbyists, and teachers. Your donation will help us pay off ONE YEAR’s worth of rent, and utilities at our soon to be brick and mortar location (1506 E. St. Louis Street in Springfield, Missouri). We will also have funds if we reach our goal of $8,000 to open as soon as November 2022!
