God has been working on my heart for a couple of years to be involved in missions. I've always had 100 reasons why I shouldn't/couldn't go. Now He has opened the door for me to go on a short-term mission trip to Trujillo, Peru with Windsor Road Christian Church this coming summer and I couldn't be more excited! The trip will be from June 15th through the 26th, 2015. We will be working with an orphange that WRCC is closely affiliated with, Hogar de Esperanza. We will be sharing in some outreach activities that involve the young children living there. Your partnership is needed! This is a team project, and you are an asset to the team. First, we appreciate your prayers for the spiritual battles ahead. Second, your financial help is a huge support in relieving the burden of travel costs.
The total cost is $2,500 just to get there and back. I put my goal as $3,000 to cover the percentage that GoFundMe takes out, and to cover any unseen complications that arise. Be assured that ALL funds raised for this mission will be used for the trip and any donations above and beyond will be used for the children. Please consider investing whatever God leads you to give. In order to secure a group airline rate, about $1700 is due by the middle of May.

I am extremely thrilled to be going and I am eager to meet and fall in love with the children there. Most of the kids know that they won't be adopted, but they are anxious about their future (they "age out" at 18), and it is joyfully reassuring to them to know there is someone out there who loves them, and a God they can trust.
