In this time of struggle, uncertainty looms, and although we have been confined to our homes due to COVID-19, the impact that we can make together has the potential to send shockwaves around the globe.
Estefany Reyes is a wonderful one year old girl who lives with her mom, her dad, and her sister in Mexico. Her dad lost his job as a Cable TV sales promoter. Her mom bakes cookies and sells them on the streets to support the family. Estefany was born with severe cleft lip and palate and without the financial resources to repair them, she would have been unable to develop language capacity.
On May 15, 2020, however, thanks to the generosity of the JSerra Class of 2020, Estefany underwent successful cleft lip surgery. JSerra was able to raise enough money for Estafany and another child, Adrianita, to have corrective cleft lip surgeries. Their lives have quite literally been changed forever!
What now?
Missionary Heart is a charitable organization in Tampico, Mexico that works provides the highest quality medical services to children like Estefany and Adrianita, at a discounted cost. Our hope with this GoFundMe page is inspire donors to financially support more children who suffer from cleft lip and palate as well as other severe medical conditions.
Four more children need help.
Omar is a one-year old boy who needs the same treatments as Estefany and Adrianita:
● 2 surgeries to correct cleft lip and palate, respectively. Cost: $1,260.
●One year of Maxillary Orthopedics. Cost: $350.
●Total cost: $1,610 dollars
Martin is a five-year old boy with a tumor in his clavicle. The tumor is growing rapidly. It began as a speck on his shoulder and has turned into a large mass. Martin needs:
● 1 surgery to remove tumor. Cost: $1,000.
Brayan and Brisa lost both parents in a house fire several years ago. He and his sister suffered third-degree burns. Brayan and Brisa are losing mobility in their limbs due to the severity of the burn damage. They need:
● Surgeries to rebuild their joints and perform skin grafts. Cost: $1,750 each.
●Total cost: $3,500 dollars
Your donation will pay dividends in the effort to achieve this goal. One hundred percent (100%) of money raised in this campaign will go toward the medical care described above.
