Be a Part of the JoyRide Community Comeback!

Since day one, June 4, 2011, JoyRide has aspired to be a community of strength and joy. Founded on the belief that our journeys outside of the studio are filled with great challenges, JoyRide sought to build a brand that would be both an escape from the stress of everyday life and a meaningful opportunity to connect with one’s inner strength alongside like-minded individuals. Collectively JoyRide is in the business of lifting people up.

As many of you know, the pandemic has hit the fitness industry particularly hard and locally owned fitness studios exceptionally hard. JoyRide, started by three local moms, has been a staple of our community, and a source of support, strength, fundraising, and JOY for over a decade.  At JoyRide, you are guaranteed to get an amazing workout in the cycling studio, as well as in the off-the-bike classes, such as Pilates and strength training.  The instructors are encouraging and inspirational and create a vibe that is consistently welcoming and joyful. What makes JoyRide different from any other gym or studio in town is the community and sense of family that JoyRide has created. For its members, JoyRide is a place where all fitness levels and ages are celebrated and we work alongside each other for the common goal of overcoming challenges together.

Today, JoyRide is facing its own challenge. Group fitness has struggled to recover since the pandemic began. Unlike other industries, fitness did not get specific federal funding despite being mandated to close or operate at lower capacities for over a year. With the slow return of riders who once attended weekly classes, JoyRide is struggling to pay its overhead to keep its doors open. JoyRide’s founders, Rhodie Lorenz and Amy Hochhauser, have worked tirelessly to navigate this difficult time and have kept morale and momentum alive. The owners, along with the community of devoted JoyRiders, have complete faith and confidence that JoyRide can come back from this devastation as conditions improve, but in order to bridge the gap, they need our help! Please support an important studio in our community that has always been there to lend a helping hand for others.  Together we can keep JOY ALIVE! We got this! #JoyCommunityComeback #Strongertogether
