Joy for Pediatric Cancer Patients of Cen. Florida

Dear Interested  Participant,
                My name is Ifeoma Ajufo and I am Junior at Phillips Exeter Academy. I am originally from Ocala, Fl where I attended Howard Middle School and Vanguard High School for a few years. During my time  there I was able to expand on my love for community service. One project in particular that I always loved was painting for patients  at Shands Hospital in Gainesville,  Florida. During this time of the pandemic where people are dealing with situations that are very different from what they are used to, I feel as if it is important to bring joy to people in the safest and best way possible.

During the course of this pandemic I was able to spend time with family and truly appreciate all that I have in my life. Unfortunately that is not the case for a lot of people, which is why I want to expand this project during the holidays. My goal is to raise enough money in order to provide painting and toys for pediatric cancer patients across Central Florida. The holidays can be very stressful for those who are unable to be at home and I want to be able to fill that void for patients by giving them something to smile about during this season.

What does that mean for you? Well I wrote you this letter ,because I am confident that you would like to participate in this project. There are many ways you can help me fulfill this project and it is your choice. Some options are donating money to cover the cost of paints and toys, sending in your own paintings you’d like to donate, or even sending in new toys for the patients! Any of the options are fine with me as long as they are sent in as soon as possible.
