Hi, I'm Faith and in 2027, I will be embarking on a 4-week expedition into the heart of Borneo, where I’ll experience true off-grid living, trek through untouched rainforest, and take part in conservation work that directly protects orangutan habitats and the surrounding ecosystem.

This is far more than a trip — it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute to meaningful, long-term change.

What I’ll Be Doing

During the expedition, I will: Live as part of a rural Bornean community, learning their traditions and daily way of life.
Trek for 5 days through remote jungle terrain, exploring one of the world’s most unique and biodiverse ecosystems.
Support conservation efforts that protect orangutans and preserve their natural habitat.

Work alongside local people on sustainable community development projects.

This journey will push me physically, mentally, and personally, while also giving me the chance to contribute to real environmental and cultural preservation.

Why This Matters
Borneo is one of the most extraordinary places on the planet — a rainforest older than the Amazon, home to wildlife found nowhere else on Earth. But it’s disappearing at an alarming rate. Orangutans, once thriving across the island, are now critically endangered as their habitats shrink and fragile ecosystems are pushed to the brink.
This expedition isn’t just about adventure — it’s about stepping directly into the frontline of conservation.
By being there, I’ll be part of the essential work needed to:
  • Protect one of the last remaining orangutan strongholds.
  • Support indigenous communities whose lives are deeply tied to the forest.
  • Restore damaged ecosystems through long-term conservation projects.
  • Promote sustainable practices that help safeguard the rainforest for future generations.

My presence on this expedition means actively contributing to real, measurable, on-the-ground impact — not just witnessing the problem, but helping to build the solution.

Why I Need Your Support
To make this journey possible, I need help covering the total cost of the expedition, which includes:
  • Travel and flights
  • Program fees
  • Equipment and gear
  • Accommodation and logistics
Every donation — big or small — brings me one step closer to taking part in this incredible opportunity and contributing to long-lasting change in Borneo.

How I’ll Give Back to Supporters
I’ll be sharing updates, photos, videos, and reflections before, during, and after the expedition. You’ll be able to follow the journey, see the impact firsthand, and be a part of this adventure every step of the way.

To prepare myself physically, mentally, and responsibly for this life-changing expedition, I’ll be taking on several challenges and experiences over the coming months.

Volunteering at Local Wildlife Sanctuaries
I plan to volunteer at as many local wildlife sanctuaries as possible to develop a deeper understanding of caring for and interacting with endangered species. This hands-on experience will help me build essential skills and knowledge that I can take with me to Borneo, ensuring I can contribute meaningfully and responsibly to conservation work on the expedition.

⛰ Climbing Snowdonia (Yr Wyddfa)
As part of my training, I’ll be climbing Snowdonia (Yr Wyddfa) — one of the UK’s most iconic and challenging peaks. This climb will help me build the stamina, strength, and confidence needed for long days of trekking through Borneo’s dense rainforest terrain.

Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
In preparation for the intense physical demands of the Borneo expedition, I’m taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge — aiming to complete all three peaks in under 12 hours. This challenge will help build the endurance, resilience, and mental strength needed for trekking through the Bornean jungle, while also raising awareness and support for my upcoming expedition.

Thank you so much in advance to everyone who donates, shares, or supports me on this incredible journey. Your support means the world and brings me one step closer to making a real difference in Borneo.
