Journey for John to Support the Staff of ICU, UHL

On 27th January, John Fitzgerald, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend passed away while  in the care of the staff at UHL ICU. The nurses and medical professionals have shown amazing strength and determination throughout this pandemic and even while under this enormous pressure, showed compassion, understanding and caring to John's family. As a small gesture of thanks to these amazing superheroes, the extended Quinn family will be undertaking a lengthy virtual walk from Crecora, co. Limerick (John's homeplace) to Perth, Australia (homeplace of his youngest son and new grandson who John had been looking forward to meeting. A journey he didn't have the privilege of completing so one his family will virtually do on his behalf), a total of 15,051 kms. We are hoping to raise much needed funds to support the amazing frontline workers in their endeavour to support both patients and families during these unprecedented times.
