JOSIAH'S LYMPHOMA BATTLE

On October 1st 2023, Josiah's world was turned upside down. Josiah was taken to the hospital for belly pain, after several tests and blood work, it was determined that his intestines were really inflammed and he would have to be transported to Presbyterian Hospital. Josiah was admitted to Pediatrics unit, several more tests were performed and ultimately ended up in Pediatrics ICU , where a colonoscopy and endoscopy were scheduled. On October 14th we were told it was a tumor in his stomach, doctors did a biopsy and the results came back as lymphoma. On October 15th Josiah had a rough night with stomach pain and vomiting. On October 16th Josiah had a bone marrow biopsy and lumbar puncture also had a PICC LINE placed in his left arm. On October 19th Josiah had a pet/ct scan scheduled to see how extensive his cancer was. Later that day we were told that Josiah has stage 3 Burkitt Lymphoma. On October 20th Josiah had his first baby chemo which was a small dose. Josiah did very well with the baby chemo, day by day Josiah is getting stronger but still has along and rough road ahead. On October 27th Josiah had his first full round of chemo and by the grace of God he did well with his chemo. We still do not have a discharge date for Josiah and Mama as she has been with him everyday, which also means Mama has not been able to work and as many of you know in April 2023 she was hospitalized and had serveral months of being out of work which in turn wiped out her FMLA and Short Term Disability. Even with being sick and out of work life and bills must go on, so at this time we ask for prayers and donations to help Mama to make it possible for her to continue being by Josiah's side and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
