Joshua Davis Benefit Support

It is with sorrow that our family, Joshua Davis, and his Mum Nicola and Dad, Jonathan, have been unfortunately facing an aggressive recurrence of spinal cancer with multiple large tumors and acute consistency of cells throughout Joshua's spine since November 1, 2018. Joshua's situation had been amazingly positive post a pineal blastoma resection and treatment program in 2016/2017. However dishearteningly Joshua's critical functions started rapidly deteriorating again, from walking, to more internal and critical organ function, that presented an urgent need to determine a response in early November. After MRI's and a biopsy of the lowest tumor (of 3 large), an operation that presented the lowest risk was performed, however the operation suffered complications, and a hemorrhage occurred. Subsequently Joshua was paralyzed with little to no functional movement in his legs, along with other complications including potential heart and blood issues requiring transfusions again. The impact of drilling 2 of his discs in his back to achieve the biopsy is very difficult on a young child.

The reality of any family having a severely or potentially terminally ill children, is the impact on financial income, and the expensive impacts that cancer has on a child and families, including disability aspects, medicinal and treatment costs, emergency hospital accommodation, transportation etc, that become difficult to maintain when both parents are anchored to care for the child.

It is with humble sincerity, that we ask for what minimal and kind generosity that our family and extended friends are so consistently offering with a grace and understanding of the situation. It is with an awkward and uncomfortable set of emotions, that we make this request being so kindly encourage by parents of Joshua's friends at school, who have been so supportive in so many ways, we are so very thankful and forever indebted. We have allready seen positive results in recent days, and it is with this support that we intend to continue supporting Joshua in every way possible, as we hope to achieve the best possible outcome.
