On Friday, November 20th, during what seemed to be just another night of soccer games, my brother was physically assaulted. He had been rushed to the hospital after losing consciousness and mobility to his legs. At the hospital, it was concluded he had three fractures to his spinal cord. The next day, on Saturday, November 21st, he had his first surgery. On Sunday, November 22nd he had his second surgery, where we were told he would not walk again. Later that day, we found out he had to have another surgery, as his heart rate would not stay up. He then underwent surgery for a third time, having a pacemaker placed.

This has been very heartbreaking to take in, as we never expected to be in this situation. We never imagined my brother not being able to play soccer, continue his career, or simply run around with his nieces and nephew. We never imagined he’d have to endure such hardship.

With the costs of his ambulance ride, surgeries, and future medical bills, I am asking for some assistance. This was something we were not prepared for, both mentally and financially. We greatly appreciate whatever help we receive.
