H-Town's Jose Mejia. Let's lend a hand!

As we all know, CrossFit is about community and one of our community members is in need. Jose Mejia has been a bright and energetic member of the H-Town Family for about 6 months now. We have all grown to love him and appreciate his drive and enthusiasm, not only for his own personal growth in the box, but also for the members who work out along side him.

Unfortunately, Jose has been struggling with kidney failure for quite some time now, with many ups and downs along the way. He solely survives because of the dialysis he endures three times a week, 4 hours at a time and because of the internal determination he has to live a quality life.

“Doctors told me to just take it easy and wait until your time comes. I told them that I couldn’t just sit around and die. I have found something in this box that allows me to let loose and put a positive spin on my situation. You and the H-Town community have given me something to look forward to.”

Recently, the fistula (tube) that is implanted in his arm, which he uses for his dialysis, has malfunctioned and he underwent an immediate transplant. This man is a survivor and he now needs our help. Together we can help him with his medical bills and time he has lost from work during his recovery.
