Jo's Journey to Recovery

Donation protected

This is my cousin Jordyn. As I'm sure many of you who know her knows, she is a fun, loving, giggly, always on the go, looking for new adventures to take part of, and lets not forget LOVES dogs. ESPECIALLY her own furbabies Molly and newest Corgi pup, Ella!

The early evening of June 21st, Jordyn and her family got the results that they were hoping wasn't going to be true.  Jordyn has been diagnosed with stage 3 aplastic anemia, in which it is a rare disease that has stopped her bone marrow from completely working. She cannot produce platelets or white blood cells. Time is of the essence . Jo's daily routines, something as so simple as trying to decide what to eat for the day has drastically changed. There are so many restrictions, not only with something you normally wouldn't think twice such as eating, or places to go too. Life as she new before has now changed. She will be facing radiation and chemotherapy. Her immune system needs to be completely killed  and from there she will need a bone marrow trasplant. The next 8-12 months of treatment will be aggressive, if she cannot find a match for her bone marrow and the process doesn't start immediately like it needs to, she is looking at a year of survival.

The next few days, weeks, months, are going to be the start of a very long process.

Insuarance will only make a dent in what it is going to cost her parents. No one plans for this. No parent puts money away in case their child were to come down with a disease.

Here is where I ask for any sort of donation! ANY little bit helps! Family, friends, co-workers, aquintances, strangers, ANYONE, can help be a part of this 19 year old girls journey! Now a days super heros are a really cool thing to be into, so why don't you become a part of the Billstrom Alliance and be Jo's "super hero" and help with any donation you are able to contribute.

This is the start of a long journey for Jo. Spread the word any way you can! The power of prayer is a magnificant thing. Send positive vibes Jordyn's way.
