Jon's Second Cancer Battle: Your Help Needed

Hello everyone. My name is Becky and I am the sister to Jon Finch. This past month Jon was diagnosed with tongue cancer. This is his second round of cancer. His first was 5 years ago where he had cancer in his throat. jon continued to work through that treatment but was very difficult. This time will be harder.

Jon needed to have. 3rd of his tongue removed. This meant he needed to have a trach placed. They also had a neck dissection of all his lymph nodes on the left side of his neck. To replace where his cancer was on his tongue they needed to take skin, tissue and an artery from his right arm to fix his tongue. He then needed a skin graft from his thigh to cover his wrist.

he has been in the hospital since July 30th. They predict another week. He will need therapies to help gain his speech back and possible radiation down the road in 6 weeks.

I believe he will be off from work much longer than he expects. The last thing he needs to worry about is paying his bills. Jon also helps take care of his mom so imagine that worry too.

Jon was hesitant of making this. But he knows it’s gonna be a long road but he is adamant he will recover.

If you feel like helping him it would be appreciated. But most of all keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I know Jon is strong but seeing him at this state is very difficult.
