Jon’s Emergency Medical Fund

Hi, all-

My boyfriend, Jon, was shot in the back on Sunday night (August 28, 2022) during an attempted carjacking. Two men approached him while he was in the car, tried to drag him out through the car window, and then shot him. Neighbors that watched this happen did nothing at all to help him. I heard the gunshot and was able to get his bleeding under control and call 911. Jon was rushed to the hospital and into emergency surgery. He made it though and is stable! However, he has 2 shattered ribs and 3 large holes in his back and chest. Jon works in construction and is now going to be completely out of commission for the remainder of the year. Not only will Jon not be able to work, but the police have asked us to purchase a new vehicle and relocate. They believe that whoever did this to Jon will likely be back to finish what they started and that we are not safe to continue driving this vehicle.

To make a long story short… Jon is out of work, has massive medical bills to pay, we are supposed to buy a new vehicle and move to a new area. Any and all help is beyond appreciated. Thank you in advance for anything you can give.
