Join us to help millions of refugees in Lebanon

Assalamu Alaikum/Peace be upon you,

My name is Sema and I will be participating as a volunteer for Salam Charity to raise £5000 for our brothers and sisters that are in need of our help in Lebanon during the blessed month of Ramadan. There are an estimated of one million refugees in Lebanon, who are scattered across cities and valleys who needs support. If Allah (swt) wills, all of the donations will go to the refugees by helping them out with emergency food, medical aid, supporting orphans and widows as well as schools and hospitals. More than 70% of the families in Lebanon’s camps live below the poverty line, and over 50% of those are below the age of 18, which means that millions of children are growing up knowing nothing but conflict, hardship, and poverty. In a world where wealth is soaring, it’s shocking that poverty continues to destroy so many thousands of lives.

As the month of Ramadan draws upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed Ramadan this year and may Allah allows us to reach it. Ramadan is a time for self-reflection and increasing our awareness of Allah (Takwah). And during the blessed month of Ramadan, the reward for helping others is multiplied as we know Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) said: Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied by ten times its value, up to 700 times. Allah says: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it accordingly. (Al-Bukhari). Your donation regardless of the amount, would contribute to making a significant difference for this worthy cause In’sha’Allah.

At Salam, we believe that it is our duty and privilege to serve those less fortunate than us. That’s why we are working tirelessly to fight against poverty, striving for a future where every single person, regardless of creed or background, can lead a life of dignity.
