Join Us in Uplifting Andrea in her fight against cancer

You hear the saying all the time, "It could never happen to me," and more often than not, it never does. But there is always a chance, right? Life is a roller-coaster of good and bad, and I'm beyond grateful I can say I've been blessed with more good. But life just wouldn't be life without a little bad. Or at least maybe that's just what I keep trying to convince myself of to help wrap my head around these last few months.

At the end of June, my sister had not been feeling the best. After about a week of non-stop abdominal pain, she decided to head into urgent care. After a few hours and many tests run, her life and everyone close to her would be turned upside down. She was given a diagnosis that nobody wants to hear: "It's cancer." So many emotions and thoughts run through your head with just one word. After a few weeks, blood draws, scans, and more appointments, she was given the exact news. It's metastatic stage 3 ovarian cancer.

My sister Andrea is so amazing, as a person, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. I could never come up with enough words to describe her, but a few that come to mind are generous, thoughtful, giving, and just pure genuine. Not only my sister but my forever best friend, she's been there for me in all my highs and lows in life without question. It's only right that I be here for her when she needs me most. She has the most amazing support system in her life partner, Jesse, and I could never thank him enough for all he has done for her before this diagnosis and currently. They both have huge hearts and would give the shirts off their backs to anyone they knew needed help. They are both very prideful and would never ask for anything, but we are now four months into this painful journey (3 rounds of chemo complete, 3 more to go), and not only is it taking a toll emotionally and mentally but financially as well. Jesse is the sole financial provider for both of them.

Right now is a trying time for many, so it's more than understandable if you are unable to donate, but if you can, ANYTHING is truly a blessing and very much appreciated as well as sharing her story!! There is not a set goal in mind; we just want to alleviate some of the stress and burden that comes with the medical bills, everyday bills, and transportation to her many appointments.
