Join Us in Easing Kelly's Cancer Treatment Costs

Hi family, friends, and others who would like to join in on this much-needed fundraiser.

On July 2nd, 2024, Kelly was diagnosed with Aggressive B-Cell Lymphoma. This is a form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Due to its aggressive nature and high growth rate, doctors immediately started chemotherapy in hopes that it would successfully shrink and/or eliminate the cancer. It was such a devastating diagnosis and a huge shock to our family.

After months of strong intravenous chemotherapy, we learned that the treatment plan wasn’t a success. Doctors made the decision to begin a new treatment plan called CAR T-cell therapy (CARs = chimeric antigen receptors). Although this treatment is highly successful, it is also very risky and very expensive. Kelly begins CAR T-cell therapy on Tuesday, December 3rd, and it will be quite a long process. Along with the doctor's daily visits, travel, tests, and his 24/7 caretaker (Lynn) constantly monitoring him for a minimum of 30 days, it has also taken a financial toll on them. Bless Lynn for never leaving his side through this journey and taking such great care of him. This past year has been very hard mentally and financially during the chemo treatment alone.

The last thing that we want is for our parents to worry about their finances while trying to keep afloat emotionally, mentally, and physically with this battle of cancer. Although they have insurance, certain things aren’t covered, which is why they need your help. We would be forever grateful if our family, friends, and the community could help alleviate some of the heavy burden our parents are carrying.
