Thank you, precious heart, for caring and taking a moment to read my story.
I am a widow who lost her husband in 2020 at a relatively young age (56).
I believed if I could somehow manage to pay my mortgage, I would not be homeless, not true!
A drone sent by my homeowner's insurance company identified my home as needing a new roof. If I don't comply, they will drop my insurance policy. If that happens, my mortgage company will charge me for the insurance company of their choice, which I can't afford at such high prices. The cost for a new roof is $25,000; I've had 3 estimates.
My neighbor has stepped up to help. Within the community, he has found a roofer donating his time. (The roofer's name is Santos, which translates to Saint. What a blessing!) Others have come forward to help me as well, all donating their time; another is donating materials. However, we are short $8,000 to cover the expenses to complete the roof.
I am humbled and truly blessed by this community and the outpouring of kindness, along with all these amazing humans who have already offered to help.
If you can help me keep my home, thank you!
God does answer prayers.
With Love & Gratitude,
Tracey Archer
