Join Marcy's Fight Against Breast Cancer.

Hi Everyone,

If you haven’t heard the news yet, my best friend Marcy, has been diagnosed with triple negative stage 3c breast cancer and I am still in shock. We have been friends for 15 years and we have gone through grief together, ups and downs, and she has always been there for me in ways I can’t even begin to describe. Now I am hoping to do something for her, that I know she would never do herself. In true Marcy fashion, she handled this news with a smile on her face, and she has pressed through with joy. (which is mind-blowing.)

If you know anything about Marcy, you know she hates, and I want to emphasize HATES asking for help with ANYTHING lol (even while dealing with cancer).So I have taken it upon myself to do it for her.

Since her diagnosis, she has been to over 40 doctors appointments in less than a few weeks time, with no signs of slowing down. She has had to take off work and will have to do an extended leave, due to the aggressive medicine that will treat this aggressive cancer. She will undergo treatment for about 6 months. This will cut into her normal income. Life doesn’t stop and neither will her everyday bills. Aside from the medical bills, there are so many different medications that she must purchase out of pocket along the way. Her entire diet has had to change and that has been an expense as well. Not to mention my girl is a single mom with two children in an array of activities this summer. We want their lives to resume as normally as possible!

This is where you come in!

While she undergoes her treatment over the next several months, my prayer is that she doesn’t have to carry a financial burden. She has already had to endure the side effects that come with chemotherapy and she is handling things like the champion she is. I didn’t know I could admire her more, but watching her in this fight reminds me how blessed I am just to know her.

When someone goes through a life altering event, it’s hard to keep it at the top of your mind unless you are the person experiencing it. We often move on with our lives, that’s normal.
