Hi, this is Eva, and as most know, my son Josh, LOVES his dog Sofie. If you know anything about labs... they move around like vacuum cleaners eating everything that remotely resembles food. Unfortunately, Sofie (AKA Hoover) is now having treatment for something she wasn't supposed to eat.

UPDATE: Sofie has had a stay at one veterinary hospital having blood work, fluids, painkillers, x-rays, and ultrasounds before a surgery. We took her for a second opinion to see if they could do an endoscopic surgery (less invasive) or whether they'd actually have to open her up. The second veterinary hospital chose to try endoscopic first after their pre-op blood work, another ultrasound, and x-rays.

UPDATE: Sofie just had her surgery, and is in recovery now. The doctors found a ball/chunk of food that wouldn't come out in the area between the stomach and small intestines after almost 2 weeks. With the chunk up and out, and regular treatment for all the inflammation, we're hoping she will be able to keep down what she eats.

UPDATE: Hi everyone! Looks like Sofie’s eating and gaining weight! She’s still not as strong like she used to be, but she’s doing much better.

UPDATE: Today was Sofie’s first day back at the beach! She’s working on getting back to normal finally!

UPDATE: Hi everyone! Supporters and friends alike. Sofie is doing well, eating and drinking. She's still not active like she used to be, but hopefully with time, she'll get there.
