Join Joseph's Fight Against Cancer

Spende geschützt
I remember September 6, 1999, like it was yesterday. God blessed me with an amazing, healthy baby boy, Joseph. Fast forward 25 years to June 24, 2025, the day I heard the devastating news that Joseph has Stage 4 Cancer. Joseph is a truly special human being, loved by everyone he meets.

I am incredibly proud to be his mother. He has changed me as a person and influenced the path I am on. The year he was born, my dad was facing health issues, but he persevered to be there for Joey, his first grandchild. Joseph also represented the 7th living generation in our family. There are no words that can express what he means to me and everyone he come in contact with.

Why he is special, the list goes on and on, but these are some highlights:

**From his sister**
"The thing he knows how to do best is be a brother. He’s there when I really do need him, but he’s good at driving me insane too. I couldn’t be more proud to say he’s my brother, and friend."

**From his Grandpa: (Chuck Henion)** "He's pretty good at fixing things, better than I am. It's fun to go for a ride in his truck. When he brings me home a mess of fish, that makes me feel special. He’s also pretty good on the grill."

**From his Grandma: ( Jeanne Henion)** "He's the son we never had. He has a great sense of humor and always looks positively toward the future. He puts up with me and is my best friend."

**From his Aunt (Amy Henion)**
"My Big Joe is a beautiful soul with the biggest heart. He moves through life radiating love, kindness, and integrity. His quick wit makes me laugh. I love how is mind works...he can look at something and recreate it. He lights up my life and I thank God every day for the blessing he brings to this world."

** From his girlfriend, (Olivia Mckimmy)**
"He can make you laugh no matter what. He loves you unconditionally and will do everything in his power to make you happy. The way he lights up when he builds Legos and plays games is infectious. He works incredibly hard to make his dreams come true, and he is very selfless."

If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting this amazing young man, let me tell you a little bit about him. He is a thriving young adult who would give the shirt off his back for anyone. If he's not at work, you'll find him out on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting. You might even catch him playing 18 holes of golf, showing everyone how it's done. In the winter, you can find him on the slopes, enjoying the many seasons of Pure Michigan. If you're stranded along the road and call him, he'll be right there to rescue you. He puts everyone before himself; even in the hospital, he tells the nurses to take care of others first.

Joseph is currently in the hospital battling cancer and is unable to work. He is a skilled welder, concrete master, and irrigation repairman. With the loss of his income, it will be challenging to afford medications not covered by insurance to keep him comfortable during this fight. There are also transportation costs to and from the hospital for treatments, countless cleaning supplies needed to maintain a sterile environment at home between chemotherapy sessions, and portions of his medical bills not covered by insurance for his 7-day hospital stays and 3 days at home. Before we even knew what was happening, there was also a week in the hospital with countless medical tests and bills. He is strong, and he is going to fight this battle with everyone's help and support, he will win!

Let's all come together and help Joe win this battle!
