Hi, my name is Lindsay Malone (Williams).

I never imagined I'd be sitting here writing these words. But I know I have to be strong, and strong is exactly what I'll be, for Erin, and for our family.

At just 35 years old, our beautiful sister, Erin Carr (Williams), has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has reached her liver and lymph nodes.

It's the kind of news no family ever expects to hear.

If you know Erin, you'll know she's the person who has carried so many of us through life's hardest moments. She's the first to show up, the first to help, the first to make you laugh when everything feels impossible, and the person you can always count on when you need someone to talk to.

One of Erin and Jake's biggest dreams has always been to become parents. Instead of planning for the future they had imagined together, they are now facing a battle no young couple should ever have to endure. Before beginning treatment, Erin will undergo egg retrieval this week to preserve their hope of one day growing their family. She will then begin chemotherapy as she starts the fight.

Over the past few days, so many people have reached out to offer their love and support, and we cannot thank you enough.

While this diagnosis is devastating, Erin is not facing it alone. She has an army behind her: her family, her friends, an incredible medical team, and a lifetime of people whose lives she's touched with her kindness, generosity, and strength.

And with the love of her life, Jake Carr, by her side, we know she won't walk this journey alone. His unwavering love, strength, and determination will help carry her through the difficult days ahead. Together, they'll face this challenge the same way they've faced everything else in life, side by side.

Erin's wicked sense of humour and fierce spirit have carried her through every challenge life has thrown at her, and they'll be coming with us to every chemotherapy session, every hospital appointment, and every difficult day ahead.

We'll cry when we need to.

We'll laugh far more than cancer expects.

And we'll fight like hell.

The road ahead will be long. There will be surgeries, fertility treatment, chemotherapy, recovery, travel, time away from work, and countless unexpected expenses.

More than anything, we want Erin focused on one thing: getting well.

Not worrying about bills.

Not worrying about work.

Not worrying about how they're going to get through this.
