Support Beth’s Battle Against Breast Cancer
In October of 2024, Beth Forster had an MRI done, which found a mass in each of her breasts. Both masses were biopsied and were found to be cancerous, each a different type of cancer.
Beth began 2 types of chemotherapy, as well as immunotherapy on November 18th, 2025. Between then and March, she received 6 rounds of chemo. Every 3 weeks she would receive a treatment. As the treatments went on, she became more and more fatigued and nauseous. Nothing tasted good anymore. The treatments took her strength and stamina. She fought to keep going to work as her body became weaker. As the effects built up with each treatment, she had to reduce her workload more and more.
At the end of February, her oncologist recommended that she stop working all together until after she recovers from surgery, which is scheduled for April 16th. Beth recently learned that not all her surgery would be covered by insurance. As she faces the financial hardships of lost wages from not being able to work (Beth is a salon owner and hairstylist) and medical bills, she is also still fighting the physical and emotion effects of chemotherapy. Beth is currently attending physical therapy to build strength up before her surgery. She has to have her blood tested periodically and sometimes has to go through 3 hour magnesium infusions since the chemo has depleted her body so much.
In March, Beth had another MRI done and she received the good news that the cancer has shrunk and that it has not spread to her lymph nodes. We are very thankful that the chemotherapy did its job, but Beth’s breast cancer journey is far from over. As I stated previously, she is scheduled for surgery on April 16th to remove the cancer and perform a reduction. She will likely be unable to return to work for 4-6 weeks after that and will still be working on building strength and stamina for long after that. The last step will be radiation treatments. Please join me in standing to fight with Beth and give her our support so that she, her husband Jon, and her son Jake, know that they are not going through this alone.
