Let's Help Brother Johnny Yenca

Donation protected
To the Brothers of Delta Tau Delta:

I recently received the below email from our chef Johnny Yenca.  He has fallen upon some difficult times.  We would like to raise money for him to help with his health issues and/or his rent.  Any amount of money will help.

I have fond memories of how much heart Johnny put into every meal.  I remember during family weekend when he made a gourmet dinner each year for our families.  I remember my favorites: Ranch Chicken, Egg Yench Sandwiches, Stuffed Loaf, and that amazing dip he made for barbecues.  I remember Johnny always greeted us with a smile and always had such great positive energy (well unless someone left the broiler on all night).  Mostly I remember how Johnny always treated us like family and welcomed us back on the menu board to our "home away from home" anytime we were away.

Please give any amount you can.  Thank You.

Sincerely,

Michael Franklin

From Johnny:

Hiya Michael,
I was very happy to receive this letter from you and you can also be certain that I often have you and my Delt brothers in my thoughts as well. Those times with all of you, were among my happiest memories. I truly did and continue to love you all as Brothers... As Family. Oh, how I often wish that I were still cooking for at least some of you on a daily basis. I cared, still do and I know that you all do as well.
I am trying to keep a happy feeling within me and yet, these days are terribly trying for me. You know that I might come to face eviction from my room as the result of the building being sold to new owners. They might just convert the downstairs bar, but there is reason to believe that they might want to gut out the rooms above it as well. I'm still seeking a place that I could afford in this area, but no luck. Then too, I'm losing much weight due to a sore lack of teeth and can't afford that either. So, I'm guessing you can say that life is a current struggle for me, yet I'm trying my best to keep hopes. To think positive feelings.
I do like that nicer weather may be returning soon. That always has served to improve my daily outlooks. I still don't relate well to the cold and frigid weather... as you might remember when we all needed to hurry outside during fire alarms. Ha!
If ever you see any of my brothers... I ask that you please say Hiya to them and let them know how greatly appreciated I have felt inside, just in getting to cook for them, coming to know them and sharing many wonderful times with them. You can also give any of my brothers.., my email address and phone number: [phone redacted].
Well, I am hoping that you are happy and feeling well. My very best to you and your family.
         Your brother,
                   John
