John Garcia Needs Your Help in Crisis

Hi, my name is John Garcia. I’ve been in the hospital since May 18th, 2025, and will be here until July 7th, 2025. I have an infection in my right hip that requires very expensive antibiotics. This is my fourth surgery.

I decided to put my dad in an assisted living facility on May 20th, 2025. His long-time nurse helped me out. My dad passed away on the 8th day, May 28th, 2025. May 27th was his birthday, and I was able to FaceTime him. I wished him a happy birthday and was able to talk with him. He didn’t look sick.

I had to plan the funeral, and it’s coming up on June 12th for the viewing & rosary, and June 13th, 2025, is the burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. He will be buried with military honors.

Funerals are very expensive, and I don’t have access to his bank. I need the death certificate, and they’re usually not ready until four weeks after the burial.

I have to come up with money for the funeral because he sold all his policies and was only left with one, but it was a policy with a small amount.

So I have to come up with other things, and I’m not even in the house. I have medical bills that surpass $20,000 because I’m in the hospital and won’t get out until July 7th. Then I have to see how I’m going to manage the funeral. My father had a little bit of money, but I can’t access it because I need a death certificate, and it takes four weeks to process. I have to come up with the money some way.
