John Byer Memorial Fund

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of our dear friend and colleague, John Byer. During the week of January 16th, 2017 John was complaining of headaches and sinus-related problems. As the week continued he became uncoordinated and his headaches got worse. By the end of the week part of his body went numb and his wife took him to the emergency room where he received a CT scan. The scan detected four masses in his brain, and when the mass closest to the surface was biopsied it was revealed to be a very aggressive form of cancer. On Monday January 30th, 2017 John lost his battle with the cancer and passed away. John was a loving husband, a great father and a happy-go-lucky man with a heart of gold. He blessed the lives of everyone he came in contact with and he will be sorely missed. A fundraiser has been set up through gofundme.com to help provide financial assistance for funeral costs, medical costs, mortgage payments and care and assistance to his widow, Marie, and his three year old little girl, Sophia.
