John and Ana's Hurricane Relief- PR

Donation protected
My name is Jamie Jenkins. My father-in-law, Ret. Mst. Sgt. Eladio"John" Mercado and his wife Ana are proud Puerto Ricans. When faced with the threat of 2 category 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria, John sent Ana to be with family in Florida while he stayed behind. While protecting their home was a priority, John also felt obligated to provide safety to two other families living closer to the coast.

The devastation caused by Irma and Maria has been described as apocalyptic! Currently 90% of the island is without electricity, electronic communication, and gasoline. Food and water are extremely scarce. Hysteria is starting to set in per news reports.

While there are several ways to donate in general to island, we're seeking specific and targeted assistance for John and Ana. Their road to recovery will be a long and arduous one. Initial needs include food, water, and gasoline. Long term needs include vehicle and home damage. Anything you can do to assist in our efforts to help John and Ana are greatly, greatly appreciated!

Money will be used for:
* food, water, gasoline
* travel off the island to safety in the states with family
* sustain them while they are away from their home
* damage to home and personal items due to the storms
* anything else related to them getting on their feet
