Hello! My name is Michaela and I am Jodie's most favorite, perfect, beautiful niece. Jodie is my incredibly hardworking, loving, STRONG aunt who has dedicated over 30 years of her life to teaching. After those 30 glorious years she had the amazing opportunity to retire and move to Puerto Rico with her partner Dafney! Talk about heaven on earth! Unfortunately in October of 2023 Jodie was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast cancer, which has brought her back to Texas until her DOUBLE Masectomy which is set for December 12th. I am creating this GoFundMe in order to help support Jodie and Dafney during this incredibly difficult journey. Our hope is that this fundraiser will help offset medical costs, medical supplies for before and after her surgery, flights for Dafney to be here for support during her surgery, flights for Jodie to get back home once cleared, and any other surprise expenses that keep coming along with this journey. Many of you have asked how you can help during this time; however, Jodie is never one to ask for help and hates being the center of attention. With this fundraiser our goal is just to ease the financial stress while also continuing the positive and healing vibes. Small or large, any donation helps a ton!
