Joanna’s Mrs. Philippines Campaign

Joanna would love your support of her candidacy for the Mrs. Philippines Pageant, a fund raising pageant of the Philippine Cultural Center of Virginia (PCC) located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  The PCC is maintained by volunteers and is solely funded by private donations and fund raising activities including the annual Miss Philippines and Mrs. Philippines pageants. Therefore, the PCC does not receive funding from federal, state nor local governments whatsoever. The Philippine Cultural Center is a hub of social celebration, civic and religious functions, cultural and arts, health and senior citizen programs, historical presentations, as well as a general community meeting space for the Filipinos and Filipino-Americans of Hampton Roads, Virginia. The PCC is supported by the Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater, Virginia or CUFOT, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible. 

Joanna is graduate of Hampton University with Bachelors Degree in Nursing. She has been a Registered Nurse for 24 years with a specialty and certification in critical care. She currently manages the Intensive Care Unit at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital. 

In addition to her busy nursing career, Joanna and her husband, Joey have their own financial services agency of over 18 years with over 160 licensed agents under their leadership. She continues to speak publicly sharing and spreading financial literacy. On her spare time she continues to host the Hampton Roads women’s empowerment events locally sharing her desire and passion to empower women to create a culture of confidence, health, wealth and self being.
