Finding Our Missing Piece

My name is Ashley Dilk. I got married to my best friend after being together for 10 years. My husband, Travis has a 12 year old daughter who I absolutely adore. I have been around her since she was 1. I am a special education teacher in a self contained life skills classroom. I have 7 kids whom all have Autism. I work a second job at an office supply store and have worked there for 10 years. My husband works as a security guard at a local hospital. He has been there for 13 years. Around age 24 I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. Basically my body is in menopause, but at age 24. One can imagine how heartbreaking this news was. I can not become pregnant. At age 30, I am praying and hoping we can expand our family by adopting. I have been around my step daughter since she was one, however, I am praying I can adopt. I want to provide a loving, caring home and start our family! Many times, I get questioned. Why not try IVF? That is way too much of a gamble for us. That is a lot of money for it to not work. I can not take that risk, I'm clearly not rich! Why risk $15,000, when we can adopt for $23,000? We can provide a great loving home for a child whose family is in a situation to where they need to be placed for adoption. We have been taking classes and studying everything we can for over a year now. We are so ready to adopt a precious baby. Words can not express how greatful we are for any donations as anything will help us reach our dream.
Thank you,
Ashley and Travis Dilk
