Jim's Journey: From ICU to New Beginnings

Hello,

My name is Jim Podobnik.

Due to several medical emergencies in 2024, I have been either underemployed or unemployed.

Unfortunately, since I am a private contractor, I am not eligible for any type of assistance from the government.

In August of 2024, I was told to temporarily reduce the number of hours I was working. I was averaging approximately 60 hours per week, which dropped to around 35 hours per week. I was able to make up the difference with money from savings, which unfortunately at this point has been exhausted. I was finally starting to get back on track and then the following happened.

In December 2024, I went to the hospital for an outpatient procedure and woke up in ICU 8 days later on a ventilator. 12 days was my total stay.

Unfortunately, at this point, I will be unable to return to the work I was doing.

I need some help to make it through this rough patch until I can find a new job.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
