Medical Mission Trip to Honduras

Hello Everyone! My name is Eric Hudspeth and I am a Paramedic in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am excited to say that in one short month I will be traveling to Honduras to give much needed medical care to the local impoverished people of Copan Ruinas. I need your help getting there!
The people of Copan Ruinas are the decendents of the ancient Mayans and are in constant need of support. They survive on less than $1.25 per day and a visit to the doctor is $3.30, making access to health care close to impossible for most families.
The clinic that I will be working out of is part of Paramedics for Children International (PFCI.org ). The clinic sees 1,000+ patients every month, all year long. To reduce some of the burden on the local clinicians, I am volunteering to help out.
The dollar amount that you see above is to cover airfare ($1,063), renting a car for the 4.5 hour drive into the mountains both ways to and from the airport ($330), and a 10 day stay at the Clinic de Esperanza ($750).
I am extremely grateful for any and all donations! I am in school full time and would not ask for help unless I needed it.
Any proceeds generated that exceed the amount needed will be donated back to PFCI to support their quest to improve schools in the surrounding area, feed approximately 40 orphans in a nearby orphanage, train local EMS volunteers and maintain the daily operating cost at the medical clinic.
Your support will not only help the people that I will be serving but it will help me as well. In doing this medical mission trip I will become a more well rounded Paramedic, and gain valuable knowledge about practicing rural medicine.
