Help Buddy Fight For His Life

Hi everyone! Meet Buddy. He is a 1 year old Great Dane / Great Pyrenees mix that was found roaming the streets of Austin, TX. After losing my soul dog about a month ago, I decided to foster Buddy. I went to the shelter and met this 102 lb gentle giant. Buddy is the most loving, sweetest dog that greets everyone with a wagging tail. He thinks he is a lap dog and cuddling is his favorite.

Unfortunately, Buddy has gone downhill significantly in the last week. He started showing signs up upper respiratory issues within the first 48 hours of bringing him home. I brought him back to the shelter hospital where they took some tests and did an X-Ray. Results showed that Buddy has a very severe case of Bacterial pneumonia. Unfortunately, the shelter told us if he was left there (due to their over capacity and lack of resources), Buddy would have no chance of survival.

In order to give Buddy a fighting chance, I removed him from the shelter and brought him to Austin Veterinary Emergency and Specialty where he will be hospitalized for the next 5-7 days. I need your help giving this sweet, gentle, loving puppy the chance he was never given to fight for his life.

It pains me so much to be in this position again watching another sweet dog fight for his life. This time, I need all the help I can get to give Buddy the life he deserves. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
