Jeremy Hansen's New Lease on Life
Donation protected
Hello friends of my dear friend, Jeremy,
I met Jeremy in 1994 at St. Olaf College, where we became fast friends and fellow musicians. I had the privilege and honor of not only being his friend, but performing with him in our college band all four years we were there. Though we had several years where we had lost touch, we reconnected some years back, and it was upon reconnecting, that I first learned that Jeremy was going through a painful separation and divorce. I can safely say it's one of the worst divorces I've ever seen someone endure. The last four years have impacted him in ways that have been hard to watch, and as a friend, it has been hard to know the right words of support or how best to help as I've watched all the most important parts of his life change and disappear.
I'm pleased to say that this nightmare is finally drawing to a close, and in talking with Jeremy's sister, Kristen, we've decided to organize this fundraiser to help him start this new chapter of his life with hope and joy. How can you help? Several ways...
- We've created a small "New Life Shower" registry here. The registry includes items taken and a few items we know he'd enjoy, but he can't spend the money to purchase himself.
- As for money, it is not plentiful, and every little bit will help him slowly rebuild his life. If you can contribute here within GoFundMe, I know he will be overwhelmed and eternally grateful.
- If you would simply like to send a card or a note, that would also mean so much. You can mail it here for safekeeping with Kristen and their mom: 409 Stonewall Ct, Lebanon, TN 37807.
I'll note that this GoFundMe and the eventual "New Life Shower" are a surprise. Jeremy has no idea, so please keep this a secret so we can all surprise him with something happy (finally!) and remind him that he still has many beloved friends who love and value him. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you all in advance for your generosity and caring.
