Jeremiah Murrill Chick-fil-A Franchise Fund

Hi! My name is Jeremiah Murrill, most of you may know me from the Chick-fil-A national commercial, and my life has changed drastically over the past few years.

Working the drive-thru, I try my best to show the fruit of the spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in every interaction. I believe that was captured in the viral video, viewed half-a-million times on Facebook, recorded by LaToya Liles. It caught national attention on news outlets like Good Morning America, W.E.C.T., StarNews, WWAY News, TikTok, C.N.N., FoxNews, and more.

I have to tell you, when I started working at Chick-fil-A, I had no idea what would lay ahead: all the wonderful people I would meet, the life-long friends I would make, and most importantly, the life-changing experiences I would encounter.

I often get asked, “Jeremiah, When will you get your own Chick-fil-A?” And I usually respond with, “God has a plan, I’m not sure exactly what it is yet, but only good can come out of it. I’m praying and hoping for the best.”

My family and I received lots of confirmation in the past few months, had conversations, and prayed about starting a GoFundMe to finance it, and you’ll never guess what happened the following day. When a guest named Charlene pulled up to our drive-thru window and said to me, “When do we have to start a GoFundMe to get you a Chick-fil-A?” I knew it was a sign from above. I believe God speaks through people; it was at that point, when she asked that question, I realized that it wasn’t a coincidence and that we needed help from our community.

I've created this GoFundMe account to help make a change in the lives of many. Here's where you can make the biggest difference:

  • The first step is to raise enough funds to cover the cost of a Chick-fil-A franchise. ($10,000) then covering expenses for traveling and marketing.

From the bottom of our hearts, we humbly ask that you share this link and hashtag #JeremiahCFAfund With friends and family and, if possible, in giving (any amount will help). It’s so rare that we get an opportunity to effect so much change in a community. It starts small. A simple act of kindness has the power to change lives.

I think back to all the people who poured into my life with their generosity, time, money, and encouragement, which brings me great joy. The impact that those people had on my life can never be measured. I am so grateful for the relationships we share and thankful for every one of you. I cannot thank you enough for caring and supporting this cause. This is a big change, and you're making it all possible. Thank you so much!

Know that any amount of money is not too small. $5 is more than enough. You shouldn't feel you have to give any more than that. I believe there are enough people who believe in this, as I do, that with $5 each, we can exceed the goal easily.

How it Started:
I started working at Chick-fil-A with my brother (Joshua) and my sisters (Destini, Kristian, and Angel) in 2017 as a team member and worked my way up to an Assistant Director. Chick-fil-A shares the same values as my family and me. Namely, it is treating others how you’d like to be treated. I have many stories of how showing kindness made great days greater, gloomy days bright, and even helped someone choose life over strife. But I’ll share this one story with you that encourages me to keep going.

It was a beautiful day at Chick-fil-A while I was taking orders outside. It was prolonged, with no one to serve at the moment, but something unusual happened. A woman drove into the drive-thru, but then she stopped her car before pulling up to order.

The guest hesitated to pull forward, then slowly drove to me but looked confused and disturbed. So, I said with a big smile, “Hi! Welcome to Chick-fil-A; how may I serve you?” she told me that she accidentally came into the drive-thru. But since the woman was already here, she wanted to order anyway.

Before we began ordering, I asked her if she was having a great day? She told me, no, and with tears in her eyes, she said that she would take her own life after leaving the drive-thru. The vibes just got serious. I was shocked and, at first, didn’t know how to respond, but I stayed calm and continued to talk with her. I wanted to make sure this didn’t happen.

While taking her order, she told me she was facing issues with her family and business and didn’t want to go through any more stress. So, to relieve some of her anxiety, I listened to what she had to say and sympathized with her. She felt way better after we had a great conversation about the matter.

I told her she didn’t come to this drive-thru by chance; this moment was purposeful, and I encouraged her to keep going. She realized everything would be ok and that all she needed was a little hope.

I want to build the Chick-fil-A brand and continue the remarkable legacy of Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-A. Operating a Chick-fil-A opens opportunities to help people on a larger scale. I share his vision to be a positive influence on people and communities.

I invite you to join me in this journey and help this dream come true. I will post updates on my Instagram and Facebook accounts of the progress. Thank you so much for your overwhelming support! Without you, this wouldn't be possible. I encourage you to share this GoFundMe link and start a chain reaction; Kindness can go a long way; let’s put it into action.
