Legal defense fees

In the past few months, we have felt the love and support of our family, our friends and our community in an amazing way.  Leaving our teaching position at Bridgeport has been an incredible challenge, and a difficult time.  Your support, faith, and encouragement has meant the world to us. We are now facing a personal lawsuit being threatened by an individual in the community, and we need help to pay our legal fees. We have an amazing lawyer who is willing to represent us to show in court that we have been honest and forthright with the community, and to help protect my ability to keep teaching in the future.  $7,500 will pay the fees to allow him to start working on our case. Support in any amount is deeply appreciated, and any donation will help show to the community that it is worth standing up for what is right for our students.  We will use all funds donated to cover legal fees.  If any additional funds are collected, they will be set aside for other teachers who may need protection against unfair treatment.
