When you close your eyes and think of one of the kindest, most genuine and spectacular human beings you’ve ever met, who do you see? If we asked that question of hundreds of people across all time and space, without a doubt, they would picture Jenny Miller’s beautiful face. You will not find a more accepting, magnetic, charismatic, tenacious, and caring individual than this woman. Which is why this is so difficult to write and heartbreaking for many.

Jen’s 2022 summer was full of fun-filled days and weekends, where her biggest concern was whether her kids, Grady (4) and Tess (9 months), had on enough sunscreen. Then, it all changed out of the blue and all of a sudden. Since the beginning of September, Jen’s calendar has been full of doctor appointments, scans, bloodwork, surgery, a hospital stay, recovery, waiting for pathology results, more doctor appointments, and on and on. You get the idea…

In early October, Jenny was diagnosed with Stage 4 Adrenal Cancer. Adrenocortical carcinoma, or ACC, affects one in one million people in the US. As this type of cancer is extremely rare, she is working closely with a team of physicians to develop and finalize a comprehensive treatment plan. She will most likely undergo IV and oral chemotherapy with the possibility of radiation therapy and additional surgery in time. Well, ACC doesn’t realize who it’s messed with because Jen is a one-in-a-million type of human.

She has a long road ahead and is ready to take on whatever she has to, making this just part of her long story. Even so, there will be many out-of-pocket medical insurance costs and incidentals.
