Hello everyone!
I am Jennifer D. Hendricks, a native of Atlanta, Georgia and frequent patron of the road less travelled. Since I was a little girl I dreamed of being a doctor in efforts uplifting my community and other underserved communities in Georgia. In 2016 my dream of attending medical school came true!
As a first year medical student at Morehouse School of Medicine, I have been extended the opportunity to serve as a medical intern in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania through the Work the World Program. This experience will allow me to medically serve the people of Tanzania, gain extensive medical experience in various fields , and immerse myself in a culture outside of my own. As a global citizen and future physician I think it is important to not only seize every opportunity to learn and expand my medical knowledge, but also to increase my understanding of different cultures.
The internship is planned for June- July 2017. Your contributions will be used to secure my place in the program and travel expenses. Without your help, this once-in-a-lifetime experience will not be possible. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and would mean the world to me!
